QA/Release Engineer

Enrich Consulting is looking for a Quality Assurance, Build & Release engineer. You will work in our San Jose, California office directly alongside our development and solutions teams. We are serious about our build and test environments. We currently continuously integrate, build and test our software against multiple browser, operating system, and database environments. And we need you to help us do better. Responsibilities include:

• Managing and improving our existing build, test and integration environments - we are serious about these
• Manual quality assurance of new features as they roll out of our development teams
• Ensuring engineers provide functional tests and unit tests with their code.
• Continually improving our build, release and installation process
• Making releases when the software is ready to ship - at least once a quarter for every product

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years cumulative experience developing or testing commercial PC software with at least 2 years experience testing Enterprise browser-based software
• A strong technical background coupled with in-depth experience testing or developing software for Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Extensive background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites for system software
• Possesses strong technical and programming/test automation skill as demonstrated by 2+ years developing and maintaining complex test automation and automation infrastructure using industry standard products or languages such as C++, Visual Test, Visual Basic or other scripting languages. The ability to apply creative solutions to complex automation problems is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems
• Demonstrated ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously
• Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on technical challenges

Preferred:

• Database or SQL experience is a plus (Oracle 9i and SQL Server 2000)
• Mathematical modeling skills are a plus
